AN ACT CHANGING THE NAME OF MAHINOG NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL IN BARANGAY HUBANGON, MUNICIPALITY OF MAHINOG, PROVINCE OF CAMIGUIN TO SIXTO A. ABAO NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. Renaming of a National High School. – The name of Mahinog National High School in Barangay Hubangon, Municipality of Mahinog, Province of Camiguin is hereby changed to Sixto A. Abao National High School.

SECTION 2. Location of the Main Campus. – The main campus of the Sixto A. Abao National High School shall continue to remain in its present location in Barangay Hubangon, Municipality of Mahinog, Province of Camiguin.

SECTION 3. Provision of Marker. – The Department of Education—Division of Camiguin, in coordination with the local government unit of the Municipality of Mahinog, shall provide appropriate memorials or markers in both the Sixto A. Abao National High School and the Mahinog National High School, which shall indicate the history of the establishment of both schools and how they acquired their respective names.

SECTION 4. Effectivity. – This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
