Proclamation No. 420, June 25, 1968

DECLARING MONDAY, JULY 1, 1968, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN BASILAN CITY.

WHEREAS, Monday, July 1, 1968 marks the seventieth anniversary of the charter of Basilan City; and

WHEREAS, the residents of that city should be afforded an opportunity to celebrate this milestone in their City’s History;

NOW, THEREFORE, I FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Monday, July 1, 1968, as a special public holiday in Basilan City.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippine to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 25th day of June, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and sixty-eight.
