EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 89, October 09, 1967

AUTHORIZING THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT OF BATANGAS TO ENLIST THE ASSISTANCE OF ALL GOVERNMENT OFFICES, AGENCIES, AND INSTRUMENTALITIES IN BATANGAS AND OF PRIVATE TRANSPORTATION COMPANIES IN THE EMERGENCY INCIDENT TO THE ERUPTION OF TAAL VOLCANO

WHEREAS, Taal Volcano is liable to erupt any time;

WHEREAS, the entity most directly involved in immediately coping with the emergency is the provincial government of Batangas; and

WHEREAS, the provincial government of Batangas is without adequate facilities to cope with the impending calamity;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the provincial government of Batangas to enlist the immediate assistance and cooperation of all government offices, agencies, and instrumentalities in Batangas and of private transportation companies in any emergency incident to the eruption of Taal Volcano.
