EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 763 January 11, 1982

CREATING AN ADDITIONAL POSITION OF DEPUTY MINISTER OF TRANSPORTATION AND COMMUNICATIONS

WHEREAS, under Section 7 of Executive Order No. 546 "the authority and responsibility for the Ministry" of Transportation and Communications is "vested in the Minister of Transportation and Communications who shall be assisted by one career Deputy Minister, unless otherwise determined by the President";

WHEREAS, it is now deemed necessary, in view of the expansion in the functions of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, to create an additional position of Deputy Minister;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, pursuant to the authority vested in me by the abovesaid Section 7 of Executive Order No. 546 and Presidential Decree No. 1416 do hereby order and ordain as follows:

Sec. 1. There is hereby created an additional position of Deputy Minister of Transportation and Communications who shall assist the Minister of Transportation and Communications in the exercise of his authority and responsibility for the Ministry of Transportation and Communications.

Sec. 2. This Executive Order shall take effect immediately.
