EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 754, October 03, 2008

FURTHER EXPANDING THE DELINEATED LEGAZPI PORT ZONE AS PROVIDED FOR UNDER EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 347, SERIES OF 1996, AS AMENDED BY EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 166, SERIES OF 1999

WHEREAS, the Port of Legazpi is one of the major ports in the country;

WHEREAS, the territorial jurisdiction of the Port of Legazpi was expanded and delineated through Executive Order No. 166 dated October 19, 1999;

WHEREAS, there is a need to revise the Delineated Legazpi Port Zone to accommodate the increasing demands of the rapidly developing city along the waterfront in the field of investments, trade and commerce, shipping and sea transportation, tourism development, and income generating and revenue-raising enterprises;

WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Legazpi passed Resolution No. 0132-2008 on July 2, 2008 recommending the revision and expansion of the Delineated Legazpi Port Zone area;

NOW, THEREFORE I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby order:

Section 1. Amendment of Section 1 of Executive Order No. 166, s. 1999. - Section 1 of Executive Order No. 166, s. 1999, is hereby amended to read as follows:

" Section 1. The territorial jurisdiction of the Port of Legazpi is hereby further expanded and delineated as follows:'Beginning at the point marked the plan at a distance of 405.42m with, bearing S 46°13' from BLLM No. 1 Cad, 47, Albay Cadastre to corner 1, thence to point 2 at distance of 168.32m with bearing N. 82° 12' E, thence to point 3 at distance of 372.05m with bearing W 22° 23' W, thence to point 4 at 425.04m with bearing N 10° 51' W, thence to point 5 at distance of 299.60m with bearing N 02° 17' E, thence to point 6 at distance of 332.50m with bearing N 17°' 36' E, thence to point 7 at distance of 950.00m with bearing DUE EAST, thence to point 8 at distance of 1600.40m with bearing DUE SOUTH, thence to point 9 at distance of 444.59m with bearing S 89° 51' W, thence to point 10 at distance of 109.45m with bearing N 34° 00' W, thence to point 11 at distance at 308.56m with bearing S 54° 40' W, thence to point 12 at distance of 235.65m with bearing N 62° 00' W, thence to point 13 at distance of 61.12m with bearing N 27° 43' W, thence to point 1 at distance of 127.54m with bearing N 06° 57' W, all in all comprising a total area of 1,598,074.8989 sq. m. more or less.'"

Section 2. Repealing Clause. - All executive issuances or portions thereof which are inconsistent with this Executive Order are hereby revoked, amended or modified accordingly.

Section 3. Effectivity. - This Executive Order shall take effect immediately.
