EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 659, December 23, 1953

AMENDING EXECUTIVE ORDER NUMBERED TWO HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-NINE DATED OCTOBER 11, 1949, CREATING THE MUNICIPALITY OF PADRE GARCIA IN THE PROVINCE OF BATANGAS

WHEREAS, while Executive Order No. 279 dated October 11, 1949, creating the municipality of Padre Garcia in the province of Batangas, makes no mention of the barrio of Bukal as one of the barrios to compose said municipality, the boundaries of the same municipality as defined and fixed in said order place the said barrio inside the territory of Padre Garcia; and

WHEREAS, to preclude any possible question of jurisdiction over the said barrio of Bukal it is necessary that some specific provision regarding the said barrio be embodied in the executive order;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ELPIDIO QUIRINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers bested in me by Section sixty-eight of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare the said barrio of Bukal, formerly of the municipality of Rosario, as one of the barrios of the municipality of Padre Cartia. This accordingly amends the first paragraph of Executive Order No. 279, dated October 11, 1949.
