EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 426, March 20, 1951

AMENDING EXECUTIVE ORDER NUMBERED THREE HUNDRED AND THIRTY-ONE, EXECUTIVE ORDER NUMBERED THREE HUNDRED AND FORTY-THREE, EXECUTIVE ORDER NUMBERED THREE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-FOUR, EXECUTIVE ORDER NUMBERED THREE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY-ONE, EXECUTIVE ORDER NUMBER THREE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY-TWO, EXECUTIVE ORDER NUMBERED FOUR HUNDRED AND TEN, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

By virtue of the powers vested in me by Section 3 of Republic Act No. 509, entitled “AN ACT DECLARING NATIONAL POLICY, AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES FOR A LLATTED PERIOD TO FIX CEILING PRICES OF COMMODITIES AND TO PROMULGATE RULES AND REGULATIONS REGARDING PRICES OF COMMODITIES TO EFFECTUATE SUCH POLICY, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF A CERTAIN SUM FOR THE PURPOSE,” and upon the recommendation of the Price Administration Board, I, ELPIDIO QUIRINO, President of the Philippines, do hereby order:

Section 1. Section one of Executive Order No. 331, dated July 7, 1950, is hereby amended by eliminating therefrom the ceiling prices of Spices and Tea.

Section 2. Section one of Executive Order No. 343, dated August 14, 1950, and Section one of Executive Order No. 381, dated 14, 1950, and Section one of Executive Order No. 381, dated December 8, 1950, are hereby amended by eliminating therefrom the ceiling prices of Tea. SEC. 3. Section one of Executive Order No. 374, dated November 27, 1950, is hereby amended by setting up new ceiling prices for Pneumatic Tires as follows:

Section 4. Section one of Executive Order No. 382, dated December 18, 1950, and Section one of Executive Order No. 140, dated February 9, 1951, are hereby amended by eliminating therefrom the ceiling prices of Spices.

Section 5. The ceiling prices of Pneumatic Tires fixed in this Order include the 7% Sales Tax and 1% Municipal Tax and are applicable throughout the Philippines.

Section 6. This Order shall take effect immediately.
