DECLARING AND DELINEATING THE PUERTO PRINCESA CITY PORT ZONE UNDER THE ADMINISTRATIVE JURISDICTION OF THE PHILIPPINE PORTS AUTHORITY


WHEREAS, the Port of Puerto Princesa City is one of the major and busiest ports in the country;


WHEREAS, there is need to expand the Port of Puerto Princesa City for planning purposes to accommodate projected increases in port traffic and program the development of the necessary port facilities to support the increasing demands of the shipping trade within the region;


NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines by virtue of the power vested in me by law, do hereby order:


SECTION 1. The territorial jurisdiction of the Port of Puerto Princesa is hereby expanded and particularly described as follows:


"Beginning at point 1 on the plan, thence to point 2 at a distance of 7 meters with bearing S39.510'0"W, thence to point 3 at a distance of 7 meters with bearing S6.910'0", thence to point 4 at a distance of 66 meters with bearing S3610'0"W, thence to point 5 at a distance of 220 meters with bearing S3410'0"W, thence to point 6 at a distance of 800 meters with bearing N50159'07"W, thence to point 7 at a distance of 608.51 meters with bearing N38120'25.5", thence to point 8 at a distance of 710 meters with bearing S50146'59"E, thence to point 9 at a distance of 19.84 meters with bearing S38112'15"E, thence to point 10 at a distance of 6 meters with bearing S53157'06"W, thence to point 11 at a distance of 102.85 meters with bearing S24144'37"E, thence to point 12 at a distance of 92.38 meters with bearing S49135'45"W, thence to point 13 at a distance of 74.04 meters with bearing S46108'57"W, thence to point 14 at a distance of 42.71 meters with bearing S44157'43"W, thence to point 15 at a distance of 2.07 meters with bearing S36132'14"E, thence to point of beginning at a distance of 47 meters with bearing S54106'0"W, all in all comprising a total area of 479,615.03 square meters or less."


SECTION 2. The Puerto Princesa Port Zone, as expanded, is hereby placed under the administrative jurisdiction of the Philippine Ports Authority, which shall, consistent with the regional industrial plans of the Government, implement a program for the proper zoning, planning, development and utilization of the port.


SECTION 3. All other orders, proclamations, and issuances or portions thereof which are inconsistent with this Executive Order are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.


SECTION 4. This Executive Order shall take effect immediately.


DONE in the City of Manila, this 19th of February in the year of our Lord, Nineteen Hundred and Ninety Six.
