EXTENDING THE PROHIBITION TO SLAUGHTER CARABAOS UP TO DECEMBER 31, 1956


In order to carry out effectively the provisions of Republic Act No. 11 and to conserve our work animals for agricultural purposes, I, RAMON MAGSAYSAY, President of the Philippines, do hereby order:


  • 1. The prohibition to slaughter carabaos for a period of six months from January 31, 1956, under Executive Order No. 162, dated January 30, 1956, is hereby extended up to December 31, 1956.

  • 2. The Secretary of Agriculture and Natural Resources and all public officials concerned are hereby enjoined not to issue during said period any permit for the slaughtering of carabaos.


Done in the City of Manila, this 23rd day of July, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and fifty-six, and of the Independence of the Philippines, the eleventh.
