EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 183 June 22, 1994

AMENDING EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 128, SERIES OF 1993, ESTABLISHING THE NATIONAL CENTENNIAL COMMISSION

WHEREAS, Executive Order No. 128, s. of 1993, reconstituted the Committee for the Preparation of the National Centennial Celebrations in 1998 into the National Centennial Commission (NCC);

WHEREAS, the NCC's five-year plan includes foreign promotional programs to increase global awareness for the 1998 Philippine centennial celebration;

WHEREAS, implementation of these programs require the direct involvement of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA); and

WHEREAS, the DFA can provide guidance to the NCC's International Affairs Committee.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, hereby amend Executive Order No. 128, s. of 1993, by making the Department of Foreign Affairs a member of the National Centennial Commission.

This Executive Order shall take effect immediately.
