CREATING A COMMITTEE TO LOCATE A PARCEL OF LAND OF THE PUBLIC OR PRIVATE DOMAIN OF THE GOVERNMENT IN THE CITY OF MANILA TO BE RESERVED FOR THE BOY SCOUTS OF THE PHILIPPINES

WHEREAS, the Boy Scouts of the Philippines, a public corporation created under Commonwealth Act No. 111 for the purpose of promoting the character development and citizenship training of the Filipino youth, is in need of a lot on which to construct a building for its use; and

WHEREAS, said organization does not have sufficient funds with which to purchase the lot that it needs;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ELPIDIO QUIRINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby create a Committee which shall locate a parcel of land of the public or private domain of the Government in the City of Manila to be reserved for the Boy Scouts of the Philippines. The Committee shall be composed of the Secretary of Agriculture and Natural Resources, as Chairman, and the Secretary of Public Works and Communications and the Secretary of Education, as members.

The Committee shall submit its report and recommendations as soon as possible.

Done in the City of Manila, this 4th day of February, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and forty-nine, and of the Independence of the Philippines, the third.
