[ ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 126, July 18, 1950 ]

REMOVING MR. JUAN M. BARBA FROM OFFICE AS REGISTER OF DEEDS OF ILOCOS NORTE

This is an administrative case against Mr. Juan M. Barba, Register of Deeds of Ilocos Norte.

It appears that the respondent has been absent from the office from August 12, 1949, up to the present without proper application for leave and without even communicating with his office or his superiors as to his whereabouts. It also appears that in 1948 he went on leave for 160 days, either for personal business or for medical treatment, but no medical certificate was submitted by him justifying his applications for sick leave.

The foregoing constitutes not only a violation of civil service rules and regulations but also an abandonment of office to the detriment of the public service.

Wherefore, respondent Juan M. Barba is hereby removed from office as Register of Deeds of Ilocos Norte, effective as of August 12, 1949.

Done in the City of Manila, this 18th day of July, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and fifty, and of the Independence of the Philippines, the fifth.
